Hello August. Because it is celebration month, I'll be featuring some of Larry's pictures of our town and its history. We sure miss him; he could tell you all about the history of Perryton. August in Perryton is always jam packed with activities because of the celebration. Get ready for lots of different, exciting things to do.

School starts this Wednesday, watch out for school zones and buses. We pray that everyone has a fabulous and safe school year. We are still gathering supplies and will be donating them to the area schools. Every little bit helps so if you would like to help, pick up some pens, pencils, paper, crayons, etc and drop them off at the center. We will deliver them to PISD for distribution.

Don't forget about our "Chase the Ace" game, pay a dollar for a chance, get your name in the hopper, one name will be drawn on Friday and they get to go pick a card on the wall. If they get the Ace of Spades, they win the half the pot, other half goes to the center. Good Luck!!

The Fall Fundraiser is really coming together; I'm sure glad we started early, September 19th will be here before we know it. I'm so excited, this is going to be GREAT! I've heard this band and they are really fantastic. Plus, the name of the band just fits us, right - Geezers Gone Wild (just not past 10:00 - lol)

If you have a friend that isn't a member, just invite them to lunch. They might enjoy it as much as you do and come back again. I don't know anyone that doesn't enjoy a good meal and even better company.
